Coming Excitement

At the end of the month I plan on compiling the events of past posts into some stories. Feel free to use the stories and spread them around.

Monday was track practice.

On Tuesday we went to the Flaters for “Game Night.” Me and Kim brought Cashflow 101 and now others love playing the game.

Track meet was on Wednesday. For first timers here is a tip: Expect to be there for at least 4 hours, and hopefully improve your time. In the 400 meter my time was 1:11(min:sec).

Thursday was the day I went to the DMV for my road test. I passed, but bumped the curb on parallel parking. When I came home I received a call from the Milwaukee Public Library inquiring about me being featured in their publication “The Reader” for “Reader of the Month.” I also went to Vet Science and Quilting.

Friday I went to the “Anger Resolution Seminar” courtesy of IBLP hosted by the Lammar family. Good teaching there.

Saturday I finished up the Anger Resolution Seminar as it was a two-day course. Sam Salo, Joel Kordik, and others were there also. We all learned some new things, so ask us about it if you want your anger resolved.

Sunday was church, as always, but never boring in the least. After church I went to Sentry to sell 4-H Raffle tickets with my mother, Kim, and Zak. We did well as we generated about $100+ worth of sales. Then the entire family went to a birthday party for our aunt and my mother.

Tune in next week for the First Edition of “The Wilderness Voice”

Easter Sunday

Here is another rundown on my week. Tell me how yours went. I am now attempting to give a shout out to Sam Salo(you can find him on my “Visit These” category), so that I might get more comments from other people. Visit Sam Salo from Xanga land, and peruse his posts.

On Monday I went to preside at the Muckey 4-H meeting, of which I am President.

Tuesday was economics class, which is my personal favorite. Before I went, I dissected a worm.

On Wednesday I held a meeting via phone with a Rich Dad Coach. If you are scratching your head over this, post a question, and I will go over it in detail. I also went to track practice.

Monotonous will be the word that I will attach to Thursday.

On Friday was my mothers birthday,(Happy Birthday Mom! :) , and we signed up for Rich Dad’s Coaching. I also watched Kent Hovind.(great guy). Today was also Good Friday.

Saturday is when we found 2 bunnies in our window well, will expound if asked. Other things went on that will not me mentioned for the sake of boring you(although it wasn’t that boring).

Sunday was Easter Sunday :) . Great sermon by Pastor York, as always. Afterwards I went to my Grandparents(plural) and celebrated Easter there.

As a tip: Never post on a Holiday as it is very hard to do. As a matter of fact, I posted on Tuesday, two days late.

Another movie for review. This one was working on angles. You can view it here (3MB)

Palm Sunday

Here is a rundown of what happened the past week.

On Monday I went to Target and purchased “The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer”.

On Tuesday I had the experience of my life. What happened? Well, I was on my way home from my economics class. I was driving, my dad was in the passenger seat, and my sister, Kim, was in the backseat. It was dark and I was going down the big hill on Racine Ave.(direction of travel was south) when suddenly I caught something on the left side of the road moving across the street and slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting about 10 deer. Luckily no one was behind me, and I stopped in time to watch a group of deer move past, running shoulder to shoulder.

Wednesday had nothing that exciting unless you want to call track practice that.

Thursday was even less exciting as I was putting together a patch for my table runner. Yes, I do sewing and quilting. This particular project was for 4-H, in which I get paid money and judged on how well I did on it, to show it at the Waukesha County Fair.

On Friday I won the Incredibles game I bought on Monday (Amazing how fast a game goes by when you are a game geek. *Winks at Sam S.) My review on it was average for normal people but for me it was cake. Major kudos will be dished out when I can finally get my hands on a copy of Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth 2. I also watched my favorite creationist speaker Kent Hovind.

On Saturday I went with Mom, Kim, Zak, and Jeremy to play at a violin concert. We are a part of The Magnificent Performing Strings that is growing more popular everyday(I designed the website). At this particular concert we played at the Milwaukee Public Museum, right in front of the butterfly room. The Mayor of Milwaukee, Tom Barrett, was also there and watched us for a bit. In the evening me, Kim, and Zak were on a bike ride when something happened. We were biking past a house, me in the lead, when a bird popped up out of nowhere and started flying away. Too bad it startled me, because I then startled it. It turned to fly away from me when it ran smack into the house wall. Of course it was stunned and it looked like it wanted to twist its head off, but I had to keep it steady to prevent that. Problem came when the bird tried flying away and repeatedly crashed into the ground. The bird eventually settled down and came out of being stunned. We all laughed at the hilarity of the situation, and when we got home our parents thought the same.

Sunday had a great church service(e-mail me if you want the sermon notes) and our movie group got together to brainstorm our next movie(no luck though). I drove around today practicing parallel parking for the big test to get my drivers license that will take place a couple weeks from now. (Still rusty on that parking job). As a note, I drove aound the entire week collecting hours for the test aforementioned.

Well, that was my week in a nutshell. Now I’m off to watch a movie(Dreamer) my sister got.

Spiritual Birthday

This past week has been pretty exciting, since I went to the Effective Communications Conference in Indianapolis, IN the week before(March 20-25). When I was there I had the rare experience of meeting Bill Gothard of IBLP. I also met Ken Pierpont whose blog I have in my list. Monday thru Friday I spent catching up on my schoolwork while checking books out from the library on writing books. On Friday I left to go the the Men & Boys Retreat presented by Crossroads Community Church. While I was there I made a movie, which should be somewhere in the innards of my blog(still getting used to my blog). Now I might get involved in Producing Movies. Here is the YouTube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4EwO03eVqc.

Today is my Spiritual Birthday. This was the day I was baptized into God’s Family, of which I will remember forever. I hold the view that baptism is a public announcement of your salvation, nothing more, and the reason my spiritual birthday is on this date is because I was saved too early to remember dates, so I put my spiritual birthday on this one. Today is also a day of mourning. This is the 1st Anniversary of Pope John Paul II’s death.

Today I am turning 6 in the Lord(Baptized on April 2, 2000), and Zak is having his 11th birthday party. Tomorrow Zak will be turning 11 officially. Happy Birthday to us both :)

Post some comments on what you think of the movie that was produced in the studios of Balancing Truth Films, and I will pass these on to those that were involved in its making.
