Lenovo ThinkPad X61

What do you think about this laptop? Pretty hefty, huh? Same thoughts here. Although I could be wrong….

This bad boy hefts a 1.4GHz or 1.6GHz Core 2 Duo CPU, a 12.1-inch XGA or SXGA+ display, 160GB of hard drive space, 4GB of RAM, an optional dual-layer DVD writer, Intel’s GMA X3100 384MB (that’s pretty good video memory for a laptop) , gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, WWAN, a trio of USB 2.0 ports, up to eight-hours of claimed battery life from the eight-cell Li-ion, optional fingerprint scanner, an SD reader, and a PC Card slot with 34-millimeter ExpressCard adapter.

Pricing for the X61 is between $1,474 and $1,779.
Due out in stores soon. I will keep you posted on the latest.

Microsoft Table PC

No, I spelled it correctly. Microsoft is coming out with a new computing device in a coffee table.

Think about the possibilities. Now you can dump coffee on your computer. 🙂

This new PC sports an entirely new feature, it has no mouse or keyboard. You control this computer entirely on touch alone. It also has wired 10/100MB Ethernet, wireless 802.11b/g, and Bluetooth 2.0 support built in. Unveiling at the end of the year, it is available to commercial enterprises for around $5,000-10,000. As time goes on, Microsoft will open it up to the public.
